The Perchoir bar- restaurant is located on the 7th floor and has a 360-degree view of the city. One of the best new-ish addresses for the view actually; but the cocktails and the ambience promise to be eclectic & funky too; in the “true to form” Menilmontant fashion. Since the upper half of this area is situated on quite a steep slope, one can expect the view to be pretty cool. It is, but so are also a lot of other things about this bar/restaurant. The staff, who might be considered somewhat brusque, can quickly be forgiven when perusing over the selection of the cocktail menu; * try the special Perchoir Spritz; aperol, ros, mimosa syrup and Perrier. The food menu changes daily and this is usually a good sign for Paris and would probably explain why the 7th Paris Pop Up “Food Fest” was held here. We could elaborate on the menu itself, but when you come here, part of the point is the « surprise » element and you might just have a near-perfect evening if you start with drinks on the terrace followed by a decent (albeit a little pricey) meal. Be prepared to hustle for a table, but its worth the wait just to witness some of the amazing rainbows we’ve been having lately…the perfect arch variety right over the Parisian roof tops .. “Aaaahh”. This factor alone will perk up any painful « first date » encounter; you could always settle for talking about the weather after all …
