If you go down to the woods today…

Were talking about the Jardin d’acclimatation in the Bois de Boulogne, which is widely known but this particular park cannot claim such notoriety regarding visitors to Paris. Exotic fauna (the animal kind), boating activities, fairgrounds and even a train ride from the Porte Maillot entrance to the park will surprise you in its diversity and thrill the children during the balmy summer months. Its founding is the result of an urbanization and scientific program in 1854 in order to undergo studies of different animal species under the jurisdiction of Napoleon. These days it is just a wonderful way to spend a large part of the day outdoors with the kids. An exceptional park.
