The Paris « Nuit Blanche » was the first city after Russia to hold this one-off all night art festival. From 2001 and all around Paris, the Nuit Blanche festival has showcased contemporary artists from around the world and to everyone’s delight. For this one night, on October 5^th,  families get the chance to stroll around central Paris at night and take in this plethora of simultaneous happenings. This year, be it the church bells ringing all along the route, pyrotechnics from the Beijing olympics artist (this time around the theme of romance) or simply hovering helicopters blaring out Stockhausen, prepare yourself for a sensual blast. October 5th promises no rest for the wicked and as for your wallet; well, you can give it a well earned rest because on this one night, everything is absoloutely free.
