We think that often the differences between countries, cultures and what most speaks volumes about the locals are their habits of consumption on a regular basis. How can you experience Paris better if not by heading to this unusual and eclectic bar which is noteworthy in its display of what is considered worth “conserving”. But this is not the only reason for checking out la Conserverie, it also happens to serve the best cocktails, organizing many events on a regular basis and conjures up some great brunch menus. Unusual concoctions are the pride of the establishment and the menu pays enormous attention to the freshness of the ingredients, classically, but originally thought out. Mid-week has later hours, until 2am, but we would definitely suggest grabbing brunch here, (do check first that the hours and dates apply). What we really must emphasize though is to try and get there around the cocktail hour for the most enticing and intoxicating mixes, that are truly, artfully prepared. If you are in Paris around St Valentine’s Day, this is where you should be, as a special cocktail event will be underway. And then you can crawl back to your hotel.
